‘REFUGE AND REFUSE: A HOSTILE HABITAT’
A collection of fine line depictions exploring the utilisation of ‘hostile architecture’ in urban environments that directly affect the homeless, offering perspective on a world where consumerism is prioritised, and compassion is spared.
Many of these tactics, like the people they affect, are invisible by general society and directly damage the quality of life of the people that society discards. This piece intends to shine light on the discrimination built into our cities and treatment of the homeless, challenging the perception of mundane elements of architecture that serve a more sinister purpose.
